HelloI have, yesterday, just started knitting blanket squares (so far, using diagonal method).  I used acrylic double knit yarn on 6mm and 5mm kneedles and neither seem particularly warm to me.…Continue

Hi again, Sue.

I use dishcloth patterns, sometimes, when making 'theme' squares. There are some great pics and quite easy to adjust to an 8" square.  :))

To assist you in the packaging and sending of your parcel/s, I have included a link to postage information, which includes a packing and mailing slip.

In case there is anything I have forgotten to mention (lol) if you click on the tabs at the top of the page, you should find most things there.

Thank you for joining our forum.  :))

Hi Sue.

A warm welcome to the Knit A Square forum.  :))

Knitting,  crocheting or looming an 8" square or two, or possibly even a few is a wonderful gift for the children. They love to receive their blankets, created from squares, which come from kindly, caring folk such as yourself, from over 60 countries all over our world.  PJs (Plain Janes as they are affectionately known) are the backbone of all our blankets. These are single colour squares that are in garter stitch(knitting) or single crochet as they are very solid and provide a contrast to a picture/striped/patterned square or two that may be added to a blanket.By clicking on the KASpattern book tab at the top of the page or our other square pattern discussion  http://forum.knit-a-square.com/forum/topics/member-s-patterns-squares you can also find lots of patterns provided by our fellow K-A-Sers. If you would kindly check out our wishlist, you can see what items we are currently focusing on.
