I have just read Death by Cashmere and A Holiday Yarn simply because I saw them mentioned on here. Way to go, enjoyed them both, especially when KAS and knitting squares were mentioned. Will certainly be on the look out for more :)
Thank you for writing about this organization in "A Holiday Yarn" I joined because of your book. They are all great, and I can't wait for the next one. I really related to Izzy in this book, with all the knitting of baby things. I am really at the same point in my life.
I wanted to drop you a note to say I just finished your second novel and thoroughly enjoyed it! I can't wait to start the third and just found out about the fourth... I am so excited! Thank you so much for your "yarns".
We will certainly cross our fingers - we go up through NY via 90 which circles three of the Great Lakes - and, we drive - coming from Cape Cod MA, it is quite the journey - however, three children, their spouses and ALL 6 grandchildren will be waiting for our arrival. Good Luck to your family also!!!!
Welcome - we are an awesome bunch of girls!! and, Thanks for the comments. In addition, once I saw your books listed on this site, I put them on my Christmas list as a #1 priority - can't wait to see if Santa was listening!!
Hey Sally: Welcome. I just joined recently also. Good to have another member here in a neighboring state. (I am in Colorado) I have been following the site and knitting away and decided to jump in. Everyone is really nice and so much energy and support.
Hi Sally, welcome to our warm KAS community. We hope you will enjoy the forum and your region's group. You should join the UK Group!
There are lots of great discussions going on in the forum, including the monthly challenges.
We are still continuing our July Challenge - keep a newborn warm, making blankets for abandoned babies, and there were some great results for the August in Africa challenge - you can see photographs under the photos menu. (Details of both challenges in the main forum). We're also in the middle of our September challenge which is also under "challenges" in the forum.
Did you receive the latest ezine? If not you can view it here:
"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."
Our thanks to CreateCare Global for supporting the Square Circle Forum and helping to spread the wonderful work that KAS does.
