Thank you Lisa Marie. Instead of a real doll, a "doll in a blanket" :)

I love the Bee stitch but do you know why it is called that?

Greetings Lisa Marie from over in NW Ontario where there's still tons of snow of course.  Glad to have you join us.  You can click on "Groups" in the above tab bar and join any chat groups you like, or click on photos to see what some of us have been up to and so forth.  I'm happy to report our local Walmart is now stocking gaily patterned rainboots, for so long I was envious of the colorful boots and umbrellas you guys got to use out on the West Coast.  Any questions, just ask!  Love the dolls by the way, their expressions are adorable.

Welcome to KAS. But, be careful. It's very addictive and you find after a while that you can't live without the friendliness and helpfulness of its members.

I really like your striped square. Very cheerful colours.

Hello Purple jello, from a fellow Canadian.  I live a 'few' hours east of you in Ontario.  So glad you have joined us. Keeping the children in South Africa warm has brought together a world-wide group of caring knitters and crocheters.

If you haven’t already, please read through the welcome message on the forum main page for helpful hints and things that might interest you. The FAQ category should answer any general questions you may have. If not, please ask.

KasSnippets has been e-published and I thought you might find it interesting to read.

Every month, we list the squares, beanies and tops that have arrived in South Africa. To find the ‘Squares lists’ please click the Forum tab [in the toolbar above] then on “Tallies/Item Count” for an up-to-date listing.

Click Here for a few tips for sending your parcel.

Making the basic square is a wonderful way to relax and still help the children.  Plain Janes, as they are affectionately called, are the backbone of KAS.  Since it takes 35 squares to make one blanket, squares are needed all the time.

We would love to see photos of your work. Click on the photo option at the top of the page and follow the prompts.

Enjoy !

The Donate button provides 2 options:

  1. One time donation
  2. Monthly subscription               [click the box]

Because of PayPal/banking fees, KAS asks that your donation be 5USD [or more].  Anything less, means your donation is eaten up with fees.  Thank you!

Our goal is to remove the monthly deficit that Ronda and her team have to deal with. You can:

1. Make a donation whenever you are able.

2. Sign up for an ongoing monthly donation (subscription).

3. Shop at the KasShop!
