"Hi Everyone.Have you seen our new KASPuzzles yet? They have had 109 'views' so far, but we don't know if anyone is trying them because we have had no feedback. If you do try a puzzle, would you please let us know in the current…"
"Caroline, I use 9 or 10 needles for bulky but it depends on how loosely or tight you knit to make 8". Size 8 should work for weight 4. Play with the yarn and with "warm" stitches and see what you like. Good luck!"
"Worsted weight is akin to double knit in the UK.
I think it all depends on how you knit. I only use worsted weight yarn and I know there are other members who do as well. If you are a loose knitter, perhaps a chunky yarn would be better. Also, I…"
"Caroline, if you knit with weight 4, your square may be too thin to be warm and you might need to use a baby yarn with it and knit both yarns together.
Don't buy the weight 6 super-bulky as it is much too thick for a square. The weight 5…"
"Hi All, I'm new here and need help to start. Website says "You can use different types of wool or wool blend yarns, acrylic yarns or bamboo and lighter weight yarns can be doubled up." Another page said "worsted yarn"…"
You all are so sweet to think of me and to also wish me well with my studies. I will be coming back full force when I am finished. I still have until Aug. 14th and with 2 small kids, homeschooling, summer, and visiting family along with classwork, I had to pull myself from the forum a bit. I used to be a very regular visitor since the Winter, but... once things are finished, I plan to be not only crocheting and knitting more, but getting back to you all in a timely matter. I am here and am online since my classes are online, but it is very time consuming and I stay up working, but try to get as much sleep as possible to keep on trucking along. You all are a blessing not only to me, but also KAS. Keep up the great work. Blessings,
Michelle.....my name is gayle...and I am from Washington State...way up by the Canadian border...I found KAS a few months back and have sent several bags and boxes to them...can I join your United States group? I think this is so much fun helping all these little children....will be waiting to hear from you, gayle
Hi, Michelle! Thanks for the welcome! I notice you are in Virginia.
Although I married a Texan decades ago and live in Houston, I am a native
Virginian. Graduated from Mr. Jefferson's University in Charlottesville,
where I grew up. Best of luck on your grad work. I know you will be
so relieved when it is finished!!
"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."
Our thanks to CreateCare Global for supporting the Square Circle Forum and helping to spread the wonderful work that KAS does.
