My pleasure Geertrude. As well as adding to the quality of the children's lives we are demonstrating that knitters/crocheters/weavers etc from all corners of the globe work in harmony with one another, and, together we are doing something positive. Don't forget to upload any squares or hats into the photo section as members thoroughly enjoy seeing and being inspired by the work of others! Take care.
Welcome to KAS, Geertrude from over in Canada! I find KAS such a rewarding cause to be involved in and I hope you enjoy it too. Do check out the New Member Guide which is found by clicking "Main Page" in the header above. To reach the Discussions just click Forum above and if you click on Photos above, you will see items that are heading to Africa, in all colors and shapes, plus those that have arrived there. Any questions just PM me. :) So, welcome to Knit A Square! Blankets and hats and sweaters direct from our hands to their hearts, a win-win.
Hello! Geertrude, Welcome to the KAS forum and I hope you will enjoy being part of this friendly & lively community. Do you knit or crochet or both? Around the world caring people are all taking direct action and team-working with the Ladies of the Soweto Comfort Club - it is making a difference to many parentless children. We also need your help to spread the word around Europe! We also have Group Forums in different countries. Although we have a number of contributors from the Netherlands the Belgium Group would be your closest. On the menu bar near the top of the page has a tab marked Groups, if you click on this you'll find Belgium on either page 1 or 2 (they move around!).
You can also personalize your own page by clicking on the My Page tab on the menu. Also you can access Settings on this page and set your privacy terms.
Check out the New Member Guide by clicking the "Main Page" tab above. There you will find all kinds of information about KAS
"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."
Our thanks to CreateCare Global for supporting the Square Circle Forum and helping to spread the wonderful work that KAS does.
