Thanks Bev,

I am informed that Norfolk has one of the biggest knitting clubs in the country. Hence why I find many different knitted toys there. I am like you I have several bags of stuffing but have only managed to make the simple bears & the Crazy kitten. Everything else is too fiddly. At the moment I am on a spell of hats & hand warmers.

Hi Bev,

Thank you so much for the lovely welcome and the helpful information! As a complete beginner, I am very happy to hear about the value of "PJ's" :) I cannot wait to get started and will definitely post photos as I go.

Hi Bev,

Thanks for getting in touch.

I started knitting for KAS last year. I sent 2 parcels of hats in January and I was wondering if they were received?

How can I track this please. If they were not received did I do something wrong with the posting. I did follow the instructions to the letter!!

I am now in the process of a knitting marathon. My friends have been very generous with their donations of wool....and charity shops.

Thanks Donna

Thank you for the very warm welcome, Bev. I’m not sure if I’m commenting in the right place, but here goes...

I’ve only completed 8 squares so far. However, I have a lot of leftover yarn in my stash, and this seems like the perfect way to use it for a very worthy cause. I also have about 30+ smaller squares left over from various afghans, so I’m adding more rows around to make them 8 inches. I’ve read the postal requirements, so I think I’m set on that.

I really love seeing  all the pictures of the children wrapped in the blankets and holding their toys. Honestly, it brought tears to my eyes to see such joy in their faces.

Thanks again.

Thanks Bev,

I find it amazing how many toys I find in Norfolk. Here in Leicestershire I hardly find one that is in such good condition. Hope you have a lovely holiday and plenty of retail therapy. More wool:))

Hi

Thank you for welcoming an intruder who doesn't know anything about knitting. I joined you to teach you all French and to keep an eye on Valerie and control the amount of skeins of yarn that have invaded the house. Democracy has its limits.m

Hey Bev,

What size hook did you use on Miss Olivia and what were the final dimensions?

Stay warm down under and we will try to stay cool.

Me again.  I was wondering what is the best type of packaging to use to mail the squares (e.g. padded envelope)?

Hi Bev

I think I am on the right track.  I’ve sent the picture by email to the forum as I am not sure how to attach it here.  They are made up of leftover yarn (double thickness).   I am anxious to mail out my first batch!

Morning Bev

Thanks for the 'welcoming' email.  I live fairly close to the drop-off point in Randburg so will hand deliver the squares.  Only just discovered theKAS 'themes' but have a few already knitted that would fit .. I'll get stuck in to reach the 35 square target! :)  I must admit I am having a great deal of fun and pleasure knitting these squares.
