I was short weight-wise for my 59th parcel so made these over last weekend to get as close to 2kg with my parcel.
Parcel all wrapped and labelled
neatly.......YAY clever me I thought
pretty chuffed with myself......but to
my surprise my parcel was lighter than I'd anticipated ......A pair of handwarmers had fallen to the floor and missed being included..........hmmm, what to do.....so I bust open one end of the package and shoved them in last moment making the parcel a tad unsightly now - but a lot closer to maximum weight for my £ !!!!

Terrific work.

There is a lady in our post office who is a stickler for the weight and size ratio for the cheapest parcel post to SA. To ensure that my parcel is accepted if I 'get her' I am always within the size but that usually means the weight is well under the 2kg, very frustrating.

Thank you X    I go to a knitting group and have the reputation of knitting with any yarns so folk have taken to giving me their leftovers!   This makes for interesting knitting as I'm working with so many different colours etc.

Karen, you had such a productive December and start to January! I have enjoyed seeing every beautiful, scrap saving, stripey square, hat and handwarmer! So many more warmer children as a result of your thrifty yarn saving and hard work :))
