Thanks for the tip, Dawn. I knew Miyake had done a similar one but must go look at Monsoon :)
Love the scarfs, I saw these in monsoon and thought I could make that, and made them for friends and family for xmas this year and they thought they were great.
Thanks Jeanne no pattern but this is what I did: Aran or doubled DK and a large hook. Chain 10 and make a loop, 1st row sc, 2nd row dc, alternate along till there are 9 dc rows with beginning and end sc row = a tube done. Each tube is approx 31cms long x 4,5cms wide (doubled). There are 18 loops to each scarf.
Our deacon's scarf was knitted along similar dimensions and was open. I closed the links as it is safer for kids, more difficult to lose and also very much the fashionable thing nowadays.
A safe scarf...love it. The chain links look so cute and talk about an excellent stashbusting pattern...do you have the pattern link by any chance Maria? The beanies are beyond cute, so stylish and colorful. High fives! What a success.
Thank you, ladies :) All thanks to our deacon whose scarf inspired me
