Hi Sue - welcome to the group- I know exactly what you mean about computers! I joined Ravelry around Christmas but didn't contribute to any forums at all until I found the KAS group, it is such a fantastic project that I felt I needed to get involved! Mind you, it still took me a month to work out how to post a picture and I haven't tried it yet on this forum, so good luck with yours!

I'll add you totals to the group totals - you must have been so pleased to see a photo of a child wearing one of your hats, quite emotional I expect. Premmie hats are certainly welcome - as someone said, there is a head to fit every sized hat.

Just starting to knit squares now for the June challenge.
Also, if you are running out of ideas and odds and ends there are some inexpensive fancy acrylic yarns around (for when you are fed up sewing in all those ends!!!). James C Brett Magi-Knit baby DK is great stuff. It is multicoloured and self patterning. I have knitted a top in it - will upload a photo when I have sussed out the technology! It knits quick - easy to watch tv and read whilst knitting as yarn fibres don't catch on needles. It is what I would call a lighter DK yarn - used 4mm(old 8UK) needles (just as good on bamboo or metal needles).

Doing a great job Sue, never mind, it all takes a while to get used to!

I'm so glad that you've seen one of your hats, it makes it so much more real when you can see where all your effort is going hey?

Make sure you look after yourself and your arthritis. Thanks so much for your excellent contribution and we look forward to being in touch too!

Thanks Sue.

Hi Tom - great to have a man in the group! I love the picture of your cat, he's gorgeous. Do you want to add your squares to the count? Please feel free to do so.

Also, if anybody wants to start a new discussion on say, the best online wool shops, please do. Just click "Start Discussion" above and take it from there!

Hi Alice - great to have you in the group! You've certainly been busy! I know the designs you mean, they're really cute and the children will love them. Good idea to put a request in the PO for wool - most knitters have some wool hidden away that they never got round to using - hope you have a good response.

Hi Angela, good to have you in the group! I don't know if you've offically counted your squares anywhere, either on the previous forum or on Ravelry - if not perhaps you'd like to add them to the UK count and give our numbers a boost! Great to hear that your Mum managed a square too, they're all equally important.

Hi Ladies, good to be part of the UK group. Hope we go from strength-to-strength! I have already sent off 20 squares in different batches and have 20 more going out this week (one of which was done by my Mum, who suffers badly from arthritis - but she keeps doing a few rows every now and then).

Hi Ladies,

I sent just two squares and one hat today - it's a start! I have quite a few more squares and hats at home ready to post so I hope to have a more impressive number to announce when I get my act together! I will try to photograph them - the little camera icon in the toolbar above makes it look easy....hmmm
