Square Circle Forum

Hi everybody,

Back in March/April, I was looking for a knitting charity, and I found KAS after a LOT of searching. I had no idea the forum was so active, nor so friendly. I was looking for a charity that was actually giving clothing etc to people who were cold, and needed the items very much. Also I didn't want to have to make whole blankets, because I usually get intimidated by big projects. KAS was perfect for all of this! Also, my knitting/crochet skills have improved very much, I never used to know how to make even a simple garment etc, and I get to have a friendly community of knitters who understand all the knitting terms ie: k2tog etc, to share all of this with! And, on top of all this I get to see pics of the distributions, which I didn't expect either. I am so happy I found knit a square :).

THAT'S KAS!   [We are certainly pleased to have your vibrant energy with us too Cherry!]

I only hope it's infectious Pam! ;)

I feel the same way, Cherry!  I'm knitting for KAS every moment I can be!  I simply love it.

Awwww, how great that KAS has been the answer to your search Cherry.  I was looking for ways to help the African AIDS orphans and finding KAS has been an answer to my prayers.  I love being able to make squares and hats and also enjoy looking for package slip-ins, from socks to pencils to under vests, to send over, not to mention the joy of finding "like new" stuffed toys for the kids to cuddle at various yard and garage sales. I always needed a good excuse to go garage sale-ing and now I've got a great one...Knit A Square/orphaned children!
