Ever wonder what happens with all that mail that arrives in South Africa?  It goes to the KAS Barn where many volunteers SORT everything out to eventually be distributed to local children.

Please check in here on a regular basis to see photos from all the activity in the KAS Barn during 2019.

Estelle reports on the rearranging of pallets in the barn.  Ronda was happy to dust and clean, too.

Out with the plastic pallets and in with the wooden ones at the KASbarn today. All the pink bags with 9 blanket packs in them had to be moved and then replaced...back breaking stuff.

Why did the plastic ones have to go?  And where did they go as well?

The plastic ones are still in the barn.  They needed more pallets to lift everything off the floor, (remember the flood of 2017).  Wood ones are less expensive than the plastic, so they went that route.

Thanks for asking.

Estelle show the volunteers busy at work....mmmm….

Liz, Audrey and Ann busy little bees. Actually Ann is having a quick power nap.

Lovely ladies. Many Thanks!!

Let's give a warm welcome to our new volunteer Lebo.

Welcome, Lebo, and thank you for joining our KAS family!  How wonderful to have another pair of loving hands eager to help.  What a beautiful smile you have :))) .. xo

I am always amazed at all that gets achieved in the KASBarn. The volunteers always look so happy and energetic.

Welcome to Lebo...another happy, sweet face to join that fantastic team.  :))  xo

Another picture of Lebo.

Lebo, Welcome!! Thank you for joining KAS team S.A.

Here are some photos from the Barn on January 22.  These represent work from KAS supporters from Australia.

Thanks so much Landpower and CLASS Harvest Centres in Australia and New Zealand.  These squares will make three warm and snuggly blankets for the children in South Africa.

THANKS, Australia!! Well done!
