Thank you for sharing photos of the wonderful Gogos of Siskonke. They do a fabulous job!!
Hi to Themba....and thank you so much for all your hard work.
Wonderful photos of the gogos at work.
I am delighted to see Themba's smiling face, it's not easy picking up parcels, for sure.
I love seeing the Gogos. How wonderful for them to be able to socialize and chat and work and help us out. God bless them every one. I really mean that.
Notes from the KAS Barn:
Viv and Ath with the most delightful finger puppets. They are from Sue Ferry and Knitting-for-Others.
We were delighted to see Molly today who clearly fell in love with Tango. As usual Molly created the most beautiful blankets in fact 12 of them. Thanks Molls
I opened a parcel for KNIT A SQUARE with these delightful knitted dolls in it. Thanks KNOTNUTTY from the UK. The children are going to love them. Thank you too for the super squares... enough for a blanket!
Last and by no means least our lovely Ronda who keeps KAS ticking along. Thank you for your patience, understanding and love. As they say without you...........
So great to see. Wonderful work from everyone’s donations!
So great to see you Molly. Glad to see that my big blue bags are being so recycled. l will have to tuck something special for you in my next parcel. Hugs!!
The toys and puppets are brilliant. Some people are incredibly skilled.
I agree with Joan....loving the stacks of colourful squares, too. :))
Wonderful handmade toys and puppets and the colourful blankets and piles of squares. A bonanza day I would say !
This week at the KAS Barn:
Opening day at the KNIT A SQUARE barn today. An enormous amount of post Yay but it cost us about R4,600 [318USD] to collect it and that’s only for one week. There must be someone out there who can approach the CEO of the Post Office about this handling fee for Charities.
We celebrated Vivienne’s birthday today.
There was a full house of volunteers and piles of beautiful squares. Thanks contributors.
Wendy and Wandi with their lovely smiles. It was super to see Wendy and hopefully we will see more of her in 2019.
Leanne’s sister Keryn visited us from Kwa-Zulu- Natal and helped open and sort post.
Note: Read Leanne's report on opening day
As usual we received beautiful blankets, squares and toys.
Thank you Patricia Underwood and Heather Mensah, for the stunning blankets, Christine Chiplen for the gorgeous underwater squares and V. Goodwin from Oxfordshire for those delightful teddies.
Thank you all of the contributors who keep the squares etc coming.
What a fantastic sight...thanks to all who have made this possible.
I love the colors everywhere! And it makes me happy to see those full shelves. Everyone has been busy.
