Have you visited our new KAS Shop yet?  If not, please drop in and check us out here

We have introduced several new items in the past few weeks and there are more to come in the near future.

The income from the KAS Shop goes a long way in enabling the team in South Africa to carry on the vital work of wrapping vulnerable children in snuggly blankets made by our members.

Some members prefer to sign up for an ongoing monthly donation through PayPal in order to fund our activities.  These monthly donations are vital!

However, others of us prefer to designate our donations for a specific purpose, or can only donate now and then so prefer to do it by making a shop purchase.

The purpose of this discussion is to get your feedback and comments.  It is sort of a “customer survey” that will help us improve the shop on an ongoing basis.

We will occasionally focus on a “product of the month” and we hope to share with you a monthly overview of what is selling and what is not.

Any good shop needs an interesting inventory that appeals to its customers, so your feedback is essential to our success. With that in mind, we hope you will chime in here and share your thoughts about what is good (and not so good) about the KAS Shop.

We also hope that you will offer suggestions for the Shop – products that you would like to see.  Remember, since this is a “Virtual Shop” all products must be downloadable.

Remember too, that we can accommodate new products that are “personal” – things you want to purchase for yourself, for your own use - like our note card series, which will soon be expanded. A previous discussion indicated there lots of possibilities in this area, so please put your thinking caps on and give us your ideas.

READY….. SET…. SHOP!

Oh yes, Louise.  This bag is never without blue yarn somewhere in its depths :) xo

i also have a bag and i absolutely love it.  it is much larger than other totes so can hold a lot of yarn, enough to keep me going for a couple of weeks :).  its surprising just how much you can stuff in it.

Joan, thanks for posting a photo of your tote bag too....good to see it's filled with yarn the same as Glo's bag.

Can I see a pink and purple hand warmer poking out of the top of your bag?

I love the designs Andrea has produced for all the KAS items on CafePress, we're spoilt for choice, so many to pick from. :)))

Oh Joan, I'd forgotten about that one!  As Louise says, there are several choices.  I know I had a hard time deciding which one to choose ... wishing I could choose several :)  I love the look of the needles and yarn sticking out of the top :)  Thanks for sharing this picture ... xo

Thank you for reminding us of the choices, Louise!  Andrea really did a wonderful job, didn't she :))

Look at this - just in from Chris ...

Wow Chris, it is roomy.  All those wonderful finds fit into that one bag.  AMAZING!!

Chris, no wonder you seem to have an endless supply of toys from charity shops to send to KAS.....it's because you get them at a discounted rate or free of charge...but what a great way to use your tote bag.  Thanks for sharing your photos.  :)))

I've posted a preliminary article on my French FB page, explaining in detail how we function and stressing the fact that we rely entirely on donations. I'll follow this up in the next day or two with a post on how people can contribute.

Thank you so much, Valerie!  xo

Valerie, your work on the French FB page is much appreciated, thank you. xx

In this first photo Jude is modelling her 'WE SQUARE because WE CARE'  tote bag with the help of an owl hand puppet!

In the second photo Jude asked me to point out the white eyelash yarn which can be seen poking out of the top of the bag. Apparently this yarn is for Joan when she next visits the UK, she will be expected to create a masterpiece with it!!!  Joan I would never expect you to do that, Jude can be cruel to you sometimes!  LOL xx

Because of PayPal/banking fees, KAS asks that your donation be 5USD [or more].  Anything less, means your donation is eaten up with fees.  Thank you!
