Square Circle Forum

Hi KASfriends.

Well, its that time of year again; time for a new beginning, a new discussion.....so.....

Won't you share a thought or two?

A joke...or maybe a story?

Perhaps a snippet of your day?

Or your life in all its glory......

I invite you, one and all, to visit this new 2015 discussion and share whatever is on your mind.....the good, the bad...and the not too ugly.

Remember, you are among friends.

Even kittens like to share a yarn......

The 2014 Share A Yarn? discussion will be archived, but still available for reading and reminiscing.

Found this cartoon which possibly a number of members may be able to relate to!

Oh yeah!!!! Sitting in a room filled with testosterone is never pleasant....lolol.

That's just plain funny.  I am so glad nobody in our house is sports mad.  We walk the dog that's about it.

Bev, that's a cake isn't it?  The kittens and yarn photo?  It sure looks like a cake.  Yummy!

I am working on my New Year's Resolution, to reduce my yarn stash.  Yesterday I continued knitting on my first Grace's Vest, finished crocheting a thick hat and put a vest, hat and square into a bag, getting ready to mail it.  I am bound and determined to lessen my stash.  I just have to stop seeing "deals too good to pass up" on the Internet and buying them!

I had a "Pound of Love" yarn ball arrive in the mail and I can't remember buying it...but I did. Eeesh.  It's a lovely soft pink and I'm making the Grace vest out of it.  I am thinking I might make two vests out of it, it's big.  It is not, I repeat NOT going into my yarn stash.  I am making a pre-emptive strike on that Pound of Love yarn ball before it can get there!  Oh yes this is a desperate struggle but one I shall win for all yarn hoarders everywhere!

Meanwhile I am into vegetable puns right now, here's a couple.....

Melon + Broccoli = Meloncholy, the saddest vegetable in existence. ;)

Worst pun ever...

LOL!  It's hard to believe they would have to state that… but who knows.

Great veggie jokes !

Good one!

LOL!  So true. I bought some cheaper bamboo circular needles and at first wasn't too fond of them but they have polished up with use and now are just fine.  I find with crochet I cannot use those sharply hooked ones, they split the yarn for me every time, I have to use the more rounded hook ones.  I am not meaning those sharp tipped ones that you use for making holes in linen to crochet edgings into, those I think are neat but haven't had cause to use yet.

These though expensive are too "sharp" for me:

These rounded ones work best for me and yet others prefer the sharper ones, go figure eh?

I see they call them "saw cut" (top) or "moulded" (bottom)

These are the perforating "sharp" ones I referred to earlier...does anyone know if they come in larger sizes? I was wondering if they'd help in perforating blanket fleece material to add a blanket stitch edge around the edge, which I like to do to finish off a blanket. Right now an awl seems to be the only way.

My smart aleck daughter sent me this:

LOLOLOLOL!!!!! That's my kind of pattern.  :))

LoL I agree Bev ! We will be all set for winter !
