Ronda and Wendy have been producing quite a catalogue of photographs from the recent distributions, rather than post them a few at a time, it was decided to create a discussion page where they could be displayed more speedily so that members might be able to spot their squares, garments or hats earlier! Spotting one of our own creations in Africa really does spur as on to even greater creativity!

Wow, 24 years old and already an angel for these children. SO glad we're able to help them. Look at those smiles and that exuberance....I so MUCH want to make a vest for each child there...lovely photo!
These kids sure look happy! So many in need.
Lovely. The twins look as if they have their names on their sweaters . We were all in with the PJ's in those days ! KAS just gets more and more creative!
Oh my goodness, what a charming smile on that little one holding the brown bear, 5th photo from the bottom. I was looking at the background, at the walls covered with whatever bright things could be found, plastic draping...so much striving to be done with so little. I'm so glad we were able to help these little ones. Are there any plans to revisit this daycare or are there just so many still to see for the first time that we just can't do it? Just wondering how they are getting along now. Also I think I see a teddy bear I sent, way back then....these photos are just so much to smile about, they truly are. And seeing how the ladies put up every bit of teaching material they can on the walls remind me of how much the teaching slip-ins and squares will help these children. Thanks so much for this feast for the eyes, much to be learned from these photos.
Ronda is asking Wandi to check Jeanne - many families were relocated from this area, unhappily the authorities did not ensure that communities were kept together.
Amazing, I was just looking again at these pics and thought it was funny that they still looked to me like some I made years ago then I noticed it was a 2010 distribution. There are a few of my squares in there from many moons ago. How lovely. It is always so special to see your efforts getting to where they need to be. Thanks KAS.
Oh what beautiful photos and children! Just as precious as they can be!
Here are some of the photos received from Sandra Pillay of Mama Ntombi Community Projects. Plus the message that was posted on their Facebook page :
KNIT-A-SQUARE blessed Mama Ntombi's Community Projects with another huge supply of hats, blankets and jerseyS. As the rainy, wet and cold conditions continue these warm items are such a blessing to the many orphaned and vulnerable children on our programme as well as their aged grandmothers who are caring for them. THANK YOU TO ALL OUR KNIT-A-SQUARE FRIENDS ACROSS THE WORLD FOR HELPING US CHANGE THE WORLD ONE SMILING CHILD AT A TIME! God bless you!
