Welcome Everyone to the May theme. :))
A winner! Many thanks Christine.
Here's a soft little blanket, in shades of green.
Gorgeous tones + patterns in this blanket... But Eeeee... Ha ha.... .. The song's a bit before my time (1970)- I just laughed!!!
Well, we already knew that I had a few years … um, decades... on you Karen. I still like the song, but agree that it has a very 70's sound.
Loving the mix of shades in your blanket, Sharon....LOVING the design.
I had forgotten this song...you little groover, you....lol.
Don't worry, Sharon, Karen has already had a good laugh at Christine's and my groovy clothing choices so welcome to the club! Having said that I'm afraid I've never heard of this band or the song!
No worries, Patricia, just a chuckle or two.
I was very familiar with the song, which had often been used as a reference to me in college (university) years, due to that Irish part of me - green eyes. But I almost never know who sang what. Can't blame that on old age; I never knew even in my teens. And I'm sure I won't remember next week; that I do blame on old age.
Clever design . Well done Sharon!! Thanks.
So eye catching!
This is like a painting. Beautiful Sharon.
I'm amazed, but not surprised. You people are incredibly talented. I have just 'flipped' through the pages of this theme and am in awe of all your beautiful work! Well done everyone!!!
Bev, I tried to use your pattern for cross stitch (sorry, Lesley ... I'm not nearly as good as you :) and it just came out looking like a ... well ... um ... my hubby told me it looked like a trophy. So I made it fatter. Now it looks like a ... well ... um ... a pulpit my dad used to stand behind on a Sunday morning??? Anyway, I hope that a child will look at it and make it whatever he or she wants it to be ... haha
And here is a little something that I hope will allow you to forgive me for the mess I made of your pattern, Bev. This yarn was a gift from a friend. Even though I usually prefer blue, and because you made so many lovely blue squares for our March them, and because you're such a lovely friend to me, I suffered through working with these colors. And ... I didn't mind a bit! Here are 6 Tunisian Crochet PJs in pink and purple. After all ... that's what friends are for ;)
Gorgeous tree/trophy/pulpit Gloria … it is always good to stimulate creative thinking. Also LOVE your pink and purple squares, and especially your choice of songs. Good work all around
