HERE’S OUR CHANCE TO SAY
“MERRY CHRISTMAS and THANK YOU”
To our wonderful volunteers in KAS South Africa
Every now and then, the KAS bank account runs a bit low, and we need to put a little extra effort into providing funds to keep our vital work of ‘warming children’ going on without interruption.
This year, we are hoping to provide much needed funds by creating as many ‘virtual blankets’ as we can.
You can join in the fun by purchasing a square (or two, or several) for just $5 each. You might want to purchase a square in memory of a loved one, or a square for each of your grandchildren, or some squares just because you love what we are accomplishing in South Africa.
Choose the number on the squares you want on the diagram below, post it in the discussion below and go to Paypal to pay for your purchase (click the Donate button to the right of this window). Please mark donation “for virtual blanket” in the message area on Paypal.
LET’S SEE HOW MANY BLANKETS WE CAN CREATE!
WOW! I love this idea of posting our squares. I'll take 2,4,6 and 15, so that the upper half of the blanket is complete. In memory of my parents and my husbands.
Great idea to wish Happy Christmas to very special people! Have chosen seven squares with special(to me) nos., one of them for my mum who taught me to knit when I was very young(a very long time ago!xx
I have messaged Ann to ask which numbers she has chosen. Hopefully she will reply here in this discussion.
Thank you Ann, for participating in our Virtual Blanket
Think my last mail got diverted,sorry Anne, my square numbers are 5 7 9 13 17 27 31
Thank you so much Andrea for having chosen the squares that have precious memories for me. The blanket is going to look great! Love the other squares too!
Andrea, I have just made a donation to KAS for 2 numbers in our Virtual Blanket. I have no number preferences so please choose any two - just because I think this is a terrific idea :))) ... xo
Oh, Andrea, I think I goofed! I tried to send a message yesterday, but maybe didn't hit the Add Reply button. I did send my contribution for 2 squares, so if 26 and 30 are still available, please mark them for me. Thank you so much for this clever and creative idea.
We've finished a blanket! I donated two squares to the first blanket, one for each of my boys. My 10 year old has a blanket named "Baba." The tiny blanket on the square is an exact replica. My 13 year old has loved Lego for his entire life, hence the Lego square.
With Ann's generous donation (and Glo's lending of squares) we were able to start another blanket. Do you recognize the pattern?
One whole blanket :))) Well done, everyone!!! Now on to the next ...
By chance, Andrea, are we looking at the S.A. flag?
3 squares for me this time...... .. I'll donate for 1, 29 and 35 this time, instead of buying Christmas cards for folk I never see ❤️
Please can I have number 18 for my sister, thank you Andrea.
Please could I have numbers 11, 14, 15, 22 and 26.
Clever choices, Andrea. No.26 was my Mum's birthday so I particularly like the idea that she's represented by a star in the sky.
