Hi K-A-S Friends.
Well, I don't have a hubby to hold my hand, so I use a walking stick to stop me from falling...... and for reaching yarn from high shelves and deep crates :))
The Winnie Mandela memorial service in Harlem New York, USA will be at 6:30pm, EDT, this evening at the Abyssinian Baptist Church. It will be Livestream so the link is https://abyssinian.org/worship/
I can't remember, but I think it was a Buddy Holly record. I still have a lot of my old 45's and LP's too.
I can't remember, either.
Think it might have been 'January' by Pilot or a song by the Bay City Rollers (the name of which escapes me) or Denim & Lace by Aussie singer, Marty Rhone (huge crush). I still have my 45's and LPs, too. :))
Having look at these Bev, the songs are certainly better than the fashions!
Plus I should have included CD's etc as not all KAS members are old fogey's like me!
Mine was Little Children by Billy J. Kramer in 1963.
That was one of my favourites back in day..... My first 45 was Telstar by the Tornados in 1962 (heavily influenced by my older brother!)
Sonny & Cher's I Got You Babe.
I don't think I ever bought a 45, because as a young teenager I wasn't really into music. But when I was 17yrs I moved into a nurses home and 'found music' that I loved...... so my first album was Simon and Garfunkel's Bridge over troubled water. In later years it was the first CD that I bought too :))
