Please sit with me under Chris's umbrella as we make some LOVE-LY squares to CELEBRATE AFRICA!
Lots of squares, blankets, hand warmers, hats and toys.
Our love and care in every stitch.

Every child receiving our knitted and crocheted items will know that they are valued and loved.

Hi Deborah.

Here is a link to a game of naughts and crosses in a square that our dear Gloria Grandy made a few years back....and I love Marion's idea of putting the pieces in a little drawstring bag for safe keeping.  :))

Thank you thank you Bev and Gloria. I was so hoping a KASer had done this before but I could not find anything in my searching. This will lead me to my solution.

I am liking Marion's idea of a large pocket square.

UOoooooh, a big pocket square... Thinking on this.

Thank you Marion.

What a great idea, Deborah.

Thank you Valerie but this one is not really my idea. I am just adapting a Lion Brand yarn idea.

Indeed. Brilliant!! Love it. Thanks Susanne.

Oh what a CUTE giraffe, Sue! You do intarsia sooooo well......if only I could get the tension right, so as not to have holes and bad stitching....lol.

Exactly my problems too when I tried it.

My apologies to all....I feel like a really, really bad host, but I promise to make it up to you.  :))

January flew by with lots of family things happening and although I have got 11 squares knitted, they have nothing on them.  :((

For those I may have mentioned it to, I finally finished cleaning and painting my son's house ready for sale, yesterday.....only to have an upset stomach yesterday arvo/evening....and its not feeling the best still this morning. My dentist says I will need to be 'in the chair' for an hour this morning, so definitely no eating for me.....lol.

I hope to be back home later today (hubby has my day planned for me with a few errands for him....grrr) so hopefully will have a square or two to post.

Thank you, Chris, Anne and Sue for making it a great start, already.  :))

You won't find me in a hot air balloon, Louise....unless it's sitting on the ground, going nowhere.....hahaha.

Please Bev, relax and take care of yourself. You are first, then squares. Feel better!!

Exactly, Diana. You mustn't worry about your theme. It'll be here for another 26 days or so. Look after yourself first.
