I am full of admiration for the lovely squares posted this month, Here are my "stashbuster" contributions - a traditional granny square in Christmas colours, surrounded by a sparkly midnight blue sky - though the sparkles do not show up too well.
The variegated wool for the diagonal I bought because, in the artificial shop light and even when I started knitting it, I was convinced it was in autumn tones, which would fit so well with the next January theme. How wrong I was - in good daylight it came out as pink and purple!
Susan, thanks for hosting the December theme.
It is always a busy time for everyone but we have some wonderful squares to add to blankets to keep the children warm when the weather turns cold.
Susan, thank you for hosting this month's theme. I have just looked through the photo album (again!) and what a gorgeous collection of squares we have ... Christmassy and otherwise ... to add to the children's blankets! Well done everyone :) xo
I'm just making it in under the wire !
Here is my Happy New Year square. Wishing everyone a wonderful year filled with yarn and colourful squares.
Front and back of the square. I like the fluffy quality of the back.
Lovely!! I love the fuzz.
Diana, this is a splendid contribution ... beautifully made! xo
Here's my last contribution....an owl square that I made for the mini challenge. Unfortunately the colours are not at true to the real colours which are beige, white and brown with silver and gold thread running through the owl.
Thank you for hosting the December theme Susan.
A few squares and hand warmers made from odds and ends.
