Square Circle Forum

We appreciate that December is a busy month as we all get prepared for our Christmas and holiday celebrations. This months theme is designed to help you relax ad just wind down a little. Before the start of 2018 new and exciting themes.

Can you believe that 2017 is nearly over ?

Here at KAS we have had yet another super busy year, helping to keep thousands of children warm.

It has been a wonderful year with fabulous themes hosted by our moderators and members, with so many fantastic makes from all our crafters.Squares, toys, handwarmer and hats in their hundreds. There has been so much creativity in the colours, patterns and designs. Our crafters never cease to surprise us with the next idea they pull out of the hat. So that leads us to our monthly theme.

We must all have those little balls of scrap yarn, that been left over from our previous monthly theme or home projects ?

So, lets dig into the bottom of all those project bags and storage boxes and pull out all those odds and ends and get them used up. ( You never know what Santa might bring you !)

Whether it be a multi-coloured square, cuddly toy, jazzy handwarmer, stripy hat, lets use up all those odds and ends.

Most importantly lets have some fun !!!

Lovely colours with the added plus of keeping hands warm.

Beautiful - isn't it wonderful what 'scraps' can turn into!

Woops accidently deleted post with photo. 7 pairs from the bag of oddments I've brought on holidays

Photo is there Susanne.  Ning is playing tricks again!  Great to have more handwarmers for the children.

This blanket started out as odds and ends but after making 6 mitre squares with yarn I had left over, decided that I could incorporate them into a blanket, so had to go out and buy more yarn in the same colours!!!

Striking blanket Diane.  A child will love it.  And I love your "excuse" for buying more yarn :-)

Gorgeous blanket, Diane - and now I don't feel so guilty about the new yarn I've 'had to' buy to finish off some odds and ends squares :))

I totally agree with this Lesley. I think it concerns me that if I use a ball to the very end then I no longer have any of that particular colour and I might need it again in the future. I suppose that explains why decreasing my stash actually does the exact opposite!

I meant to say Lesley and Diane - I'm not ignoring your lovely blanket!

Last of the Bits and Pieces squares for this month - unfortunately not the last of the bits and pieces -  as Linda mentioned, they do multiply overnight!  (I'm already planning for next December - lol !)

What a very pretty way to end your Bits and Pieces squares this month Lesley:))
