This month KAS is looking to the skies for inspiration for our squares, blankets, hand-warmers, beanies and cuddly soft toys.
Planets, stars, the sun,
the moon, rainbows,
clouds, and anything in the sky.
Then there is the Zodiac.
Chinese New Year Symbols
And so much more to explore!
Be as creative as you can be. Remember, there are appliques and all sorts of techniques that you can use to embellish your squares and blankets, beanies and hand-warmers.
Also, the most important square to any KAS blanket is the Plain Jane, PJ, as it is the perfect background for all other squares.
We can not wait to see your amazing creations.
Our pattern of the Month is from the KAS Pattern Book.
Well done you, Sue!! Great hats, but the rainbow one is....WOW!!
Terrific! Two more warm and happy children.
Hi Susanne Leverton, my knit hat is like this.
I used 12 ply - much too big.
Hello Kia, thank you for showing us your hat; it is so neat! A child will love it’s colour and warmth :))
Your hat looks lovely, Kia. :))
A gorgeous hat! I love that color, and your very attractive and neat edge. Just terrific.
Gosh Sharon you're very clever - these have super detailing X
Thanks, Karen, but I just follow the patterns that I find online, and use yarns from a fairly large stash (which I keep trying to down-size, but so far not doing too well).
Love these squares.
The upper left really catches my attention. Beautiful colors and I see just a bit of sparkle.
Thanks Amy … maybe that summer sun pattern is just right for your colors?
