Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O

And on that farm he had a

Cow, Sheep, Pig Horse, Dog, Chicken, Duck and Rabbit.........

And on that farm he grew some

Corn, Apples, Carrots, Cabbages, Strawberries, Watermelons.........

And on that farm he used some

Tractors, Wagons, Scarecrows, Fields.........

E-I-E-I-O!!

Hold on – who is this coming through the farm gate?

Created just for Knit-a-square by our own Andrea Palmatier, the unique AFRICAN ANIMAL Flashcards celebrate the diversity of wildlife in Africa. Most children can identify lions, giraffes and zebras, but may not know an Aardvark or some of the other unusual African creatures. You may not know them either for that matter!

I am so excited to host my first ever monthly theme and cannot wait to see what you add to Old MacDonald's Farm.

Thanks to all whose lovely images I have used to start this theme..... There were many of you and I hope you like seeing your work again!

Loving your animal farm.

Oh what a GORGEOUS little farm you are creating, Sue! I cannot pick a fave between the two, they are both very cute.  :))

Great square - and good for counting as well for a little one!

Don't forget our pattern of the month, the mitre square.  I have just been doing one with some lovely yarn I found in my KAS yarn box - once it is finished off I will get a photo and share!

Maybe not a farm, but I thought the colours of this blanket could represent produce grown at a market garden or smallholding.

That is lovely - it could well be a field full of produce all set out in neat rows.  A great blanket - well done!

This is so gorgeous Patricia, it leaves me speechless. Except to say yes I can imagine the veggies growing in the rows. What a delight for the new owner of this blanket.

Wow! What a STUNNER, Patricia!! The colours and the stripes are gorgeous.  :))

Patricia, I love this blanket.... the colours are gorgeous.  I am going to have to learn how to crotchet diagonally like this.    It certainly represents my daughter's Market garden on the farm

Susanne, I'd never tried C2C crochet before last year and now it's definitely my favourite way to make a blanket. Please give it a go, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. And thank you for your market garden comment!

Stunning as usual Patricia.

A trip into town yesterday and I saw these two in a charity shop window - I love the cow's outfit
