JINGLE BELLS

Squares are made and  sent to KAS from all over the world. When they arrive, they must be sorted, packed into bundles of 35. Then they are given to the Gogo groups and KAS volunteers to be made into beautiful blankets. They are returned to the KAS workshop and finally travel in the KASmobile to be distributed to the children who need them.

This is why we are jingling our bells early in the year. We want our Christmas blankets to be ready in plenty of time for Christmas

Give free rein to your creative talents. You can make PJ’s, striped or appliqued squares.

Hang the decorations

Trim the tree!Father Christmas and his elves,

Rudolf the red-nosed reindeer,

polar bears

and penguins, they can all come to the Christmas party. There’s room for everyone.

Make this Christmas the best yet for KAS’s 10th anniversary.

AND of course all toys are welcome to share the fun.

5 Snowflake Squares.

A bit late, Valerie. I have enjoyed this month's theme.

How gorgeous are these beautiful snowflake squares. You are so clever, my crochet skills are certainly not advanced enough for this.

BEAUTIFUL squares, Marion, loving your delicate snowflakes on a bold, red background.  :))

So, So Pretty.   Bright red background, beautiful texture stitch on that background, and then the big bold pops of delightful snowflakes.    Stunning.

These are super Marion and will enhance any blanket.

As I found some sparkly red and white yarn, I just had to make one more square for Christmas!

It's a pity the sparkles don't show up on the photo.

We will use our imagination, Valerie....beautiful stripes!!....great texture.  :))

As usual, the cameras play tricks on us, but the children get to see the real thing, sparkles and all.   This is a lovely square, Valerie.   I like the spacing of the stripes, and C2C always looks good to me.

I am still making some Christmas squares and will post them as completed.  I like this these very much .  A lovely collection by all the talented crafters at KAS.

We'll look forward to seeing your squares, Arlene.

Sorry Valerie....just a little late......Rudolph.

April 2018 Theme - Christmas in April

Finally finished after 2 weeks of intermittent sewing.....16" square. The inner ears are the same chocolate brown as his antlers, but apparently the camera knows better!!

Oh my goodness that is a stunner Bev !

CREATECARE GLOBAL

"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."

Our thanks to CreateCare Global for supporting the Square Circle Forum and helping to spread the wonderful work that KAS does.
